Hadith 17299

حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، عَنْ قَيْسٍ ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أُنْزِلَتْ عَلَيَّ سُورَتَانِ ، فَتَعَوَّذُوا بِهِنَّ ، فَإِنَّهُ لَمْ يُتَعَوَّذْ بِمِثْلِهِنَّ " يَعْنِي : الْمُعَوِّذَتَيْنِ.
It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Two surahs have been revealed to me; seek Allah's protection through them, for there are no surahs like them. The reference is to Al-Mu'awwidhatayn.
