It is narrated from Abdullah bin Malik (may Allah have mercy on him) that the sister of Hazrat Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) had vowed to perform Hajj on foot. Hazrat Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with him) asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about this, so the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Instruct her to go riding. Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with him) thought that perhaps the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had not fully understood the matter, so after being alone once again, he repeated his question. But the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gave the same instruction as before and said: Allah has no need for your sister to put herself in torment.
