Hadith 17289

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُصْعَبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي النَّجَاشِيِّ ، عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا نُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثُمَّ نَنْحَرُ الْجَزُورَ ، فَنُقَسِّمُهُ عَشَرَةَ أَجْزَاءٍ ، ثُمَّ نَطْبُخُ ، فَنَأْكُلُ لَحْمًا نَضِيجًا قَبْلَ أَنْ نُصَلِّيَ الْمَغْرِبَ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Rafi’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that we used to perform the Asr prayer with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), then slaughter a camel, divide it into ten parts, then cook it, and before the Maghrib prayer we would eat the cooked meat.
