Hadith 1724

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا رَبِيعَةُ بْنُ شَيْبَانَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِلْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ : مَا تَذْكُرُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ قَالَ : أَدْخَلَنِي غُرْفَةَ الصَّدَقَةِ ، فَأَخَذْتُ مِنْهَا تَمْرَةً ، فَأَلْقَيْتُهَا فِي فَمِيَّ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَلْقِهَا فَإِنَّهَا لَا تَحِلُّ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَلَا لِأَحَدٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " .
Rabi’ah bin Shayban (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I asked Sayyiduna Imam Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him), “Do you remember any sayings of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)?” He replied, “I remember that once I picked up a date from the charity and put it in my mouth. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: ‘Throw it away, for it is not lawful for the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and his family.’”
