It is narrated from Hazrat Malik bin Nadlah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: There are three levels of hands. The hand of Allah is the highest, below it is the hand of the giver, and the hand of the beggar is the lowest. Therefore, give away surplus things and do not be helpless regarding yourself.
