حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، وَزَيْدُ بْنُ حُبَابٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ زَيْدٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ : حَدَّثَنِي الْحَسَنُ بْنُ جَابِرٍ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ الْمِقْدَامَ بْنَ مَعْدِي كَرِبَ ، يَقُولُ : حَرَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ أَشْيَاءَ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " يُوشِكُ أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ يُكَذِّبَنِي وَهُوَ مُتَّكِئٌ عَلَى أَرِيكَتِهِ يُحَدَّثُ بِحَدِيثِي ، فَيَقُولُ : بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمْ كِتَابُ اللَّهِ ، فَمَا وَجَدْنَا فِيهِ مِنْ حَلَالٍ اسْتَحْلَلْنَاهُ ، وَمَا وَجَدْنَا فِيهِ مِنْ حَرَامٍ حَرَّمْنَاهُ ، أَلَا وَإِنَّ مَا حَرَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلُ مَا حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Miqdam (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) on the day of Khaybar declared several things to be forbidden, then said: "Soon a man will come who, sitting on his couch, will say: 'Hold fast to the Qur'an; consider only what you find in it to be lawful as lawful, and what you find in it to be unlawful as unlawful.' Beware! Just as Allah has declared some things unlawful, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has also declared some things unlawful."
