حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ، عَنْ بَحِيرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ ، عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ مَعْدِي كَرِبَ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " مَا أَطْعَمْتَ نَفْسَكَ ، فَهُوَ لَكَ صَدَقَةٌ ، وَوَلَدَكَ وَزَوْجَتَكَ وَخَادِمَكَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Miqdam (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whatever you feed yourself is charity, whatever you feed your children is also charity, whatever you feed your wife is also charity, and whatever you feed your servant is also charity."
