حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ، عَنْ بَحِيرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ ، عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ مَعْدِي كَرِبَ ، أَنَّهُ رَأَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَاسِطًا يَدَيْهِ ، يَقُولُ : " مَا أَكَلَ أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ طَعَامًا فِي الدُّنْيَا خَيْرًا لَهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ مِنْ عَمَلِ يَدَيْهِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Miqdad (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: No one has ever eaten any food better in the sight of Allah than that which he has earned with his own hands.
