حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ مَلَاذٍ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ نُمَيْرِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ مَسْرُوحٍ ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ أَبِي عَامِرٍ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " نِعْمَ الْحَيُّ الْأُسْدُ ، وَالْأَشْعَرِيُّونَ لَا يَفِرُّونَ فِي الْقِتَالِ ، وَلَا يَغُلُّونَ ، هُمْ مِنِّي ، وَأَنَا مِنْهُمْ " . .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Banu Asad and Ash'ar are the best tribes, who neither flee from the battlefield nor commit treachery. They are from me and I am from them."
