It is narrated from Sayyiduna ‘Irbaad (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “I was Allah’s servant and the Seal of the Prophets even when Adam (peace be upon him) was still mingled in clay. And I will tell you about its beginning: I am the result of the supplication of my forefather Sayyiduna Ibrahim (peace be upon him), the glad tidings of Sayyiduna ‘Isa (peace be upon him), and the dream of my mother which she saw—that a light came forth from her which illuminated the palaces of Syria. And the mothers of all the Prophets saw dreams like this.”
