Hadith 17151

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَلَاءِ وَهُوَ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سَوَّارٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى بْنِ هِلَالٍ السُّلَمِيِّ ، عَنْ عِرْبَاضِ بْنِ سَارِيَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " إِنِّي عِنْدَ اللَّهِ خَاتَمُ النَّبِيِّينَ " فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ وَزَادَ فِيهِ : أَنَّ أُمَّ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأَتْ حِينَ وَضَعَتْهُ نُورًا أَضَاءَتْ مِنْهُ قُصُورُ الشَّامِ.
The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain, however, in this there is also the addition that the mother of the Prophet (peace be upon him) saw a light at the time of the child's birth by which the palaces of Syria were illuminated.
