Hadith 17141

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، وَوَكِيعٌ قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ ، عَنِ الْعِرْبَاضِ بْنِ سَارِيَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " كَانَ يَسْتَغْفِرُ لِلصَّفِّ الْمُقَدَّمِ ثَلَاثًا ، وَلِلثَّانِي مَرَّةً " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Irbad bin Sariyah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, would seek forgiveness three times for those in the first row and once for those in the second row.
