Narrated to us Abd al-Razzaq, he said: Narrated to us Ma'mar, from Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Aqil ibn Abi Talib, from Khalid ibn Zayd ibn Khalid al-Juhani, from his father Zayd ibn Khalid, that he asked the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, or that a man asked the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, about the lost sheep of a shepherd? He said: "It is for you or for the wolf." He said: O Messenger of Allah, what do you say about the lost camel of a shepherd? He said: "And what have you to do with it? With it is its water container, its feet, and it eats from the edges of the trees." He said: O Messenger of Allah, what do you say about silver if I find it? He said: "Know its container, its tie, and its number, then announce it for a year. If its owner comes, give it to him, otherwise it is for you, or benefit from it," or something like this.
