Hadith 16982

It is narrated from Hazrat Wathilah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) say: The greatest slanders are three: one is that a man slanders his own eyes and says, "I saw such-and-such in a dream," while he did not see it; the second is that a man slanders his parents and attributes himself to someone other than his father; and the third is that a person says he heard something from me, while he did not hear it from me.
