حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْأَزْرَقُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ ابْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ مَوْهَبٍ ، يُحَدِّثُ عُمَرَ ابْنَ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، عَنْ تَمِيمٍ الدَّارِيِّ ، قَالَ : سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يُسْلِمُ عَلَى يَدَيْ الرَّجُلِ ؟ فَقَالَ : " هُوَ أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِمَحْيَاهُ وَمَمَاتِهِ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Tamim Dari (may Allah be pleased with him) that a person asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about the man at whose hand someone accepts Islam. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He will be more entitled to him and closer to him than all other people in life and in death."
