حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا طَلْحَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ ، يَقُولُ إِذَا أَتَاهُ الْمُؤَذِّنُ يُؤْذِنُهُ بِالصَّلَاةِ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " إِنَّ الْمُؤَذِّنِينَ أَطْوَلُ النَّاسِ أَعْنَاقًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: On the Day of Resurrection, the mu’adhdhins will have the longest necks.
