Sayyiduna Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) once said these words on the pulpit: O Allah! No one can withhold what You give, and no one can give what You withhold, and the honor of an honorable person cannot benefit him before You. Allah the Pure, when He intends good for someone, grants him understanding of the religion. I heard these words from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) on this very pulpit.
