حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو ، عَنِ ابْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ ، عَنْ أَخِيهِ ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ ، سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " لَا تُلْحِفُوا فِي الْمَسْأَلَةِ ، فَوَاللَّهِ لَا يَسْأَلُنِي أَحَدٌ شَيْئًا ، فَتَخْرُجَ لَهُ مَسْأَلَتُهُ ، فَيُبَارَكَ لَهُ فِيهِ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: "Do not cling to someone when asking him (so that you do not leave him alone). By Allah! Whoever asks me for something and necessity has compelled him to ask, then he will be granted blessing (in the gift received from me)."
