Sayyiduna Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) once demonstrated to the people how the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed ablution. While wiping the head, he took a handful of water and wiped until drops of water began to drip from his head. He placed his palms on the front part of his head and, wiping, drew them back to the nape of his neck, then returned them to the place from where he had started wiping.
