(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ ، عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّهُمْ يَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّهُ لَيْسَ لَنَا أَجْرٌ بِمَكَّةَ ؟ ، قَالَ : " لَتَأْتِيَنَّكُمْ أُجُورُكُمْ وَلَوْ كُنْتُمْ فِي جُحْرِ ثَعْلَبٍ " ، قَالَ : فَأَصْغَى إِلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِرَأْسِهِ ، فَقَالَ : " إِنَّ فِي أَصْحَابِي مُنَافِقِينَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jubair bin Mut’im (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I submitted in the court of the Messenger: O Messenger of Allah! Some people think that we do not receive any reward in Makkah Mukarramah? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: They are wrong, you will certainly receive your reward, even if you are in a fox’s den. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) lowered his head towards me and said: Among my companions, there are also some hypocrites.
