(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عن حُصَين ، قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ عَبْد اللَّهِ بْن أَحْمَد : وَسَمِعْتُهُ أنا مِنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ابْنِ إِدْرِيسَ ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ افْتَتَحَ الصَّلَاةَ ، قَالَ : " اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ كَبِيرًا ثَلَاثًا الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ كَثِيرًا ، سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلًا ثَلَاثًا اللَّهُمَّ ، إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ مِنْ هَمْزِهِ وَنَفْثِهِ وَنَفْخِهِ " ، قَالَ حُصَيْنٌ : هَمْزُهُ الْمُوتَةُ الَّتِي تَأْخُذُ صَاحِبَ الْمَسِّ ، وَنَفْثُهُ الشِّعْرُ ، وَنَفْخُهُ الْكِبْرُ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jubair bin Mut’im that I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) in the voluntary prayers saying three times: Allahu Akbar Kabira, three times: Walhamdulillahi Kathira, and three times: Subhanallahi Bukratan wa Aseela, and reciting this supplication: O Allah! I seek refuge in You from the evil suggestions, spitting, and blowing of the accursed Satan. I asked: O Messenger of Allah! What is meant by the evil suggestions, spitting, and blowing? The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: The evil suggestions refer to the death that seizes the son of Adam, the blowing refers to arrogance, and the spitting refers to poetry.
