(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ النُّعْمَانُ بْنُ سَالِمٍ : أَخْبَرَنِي عَنْ رَجُلٍ سَمَّاهُ ، عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ، قَالَ : أُرَاهُ قَدْ سَمِعَهُ مِنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّ النَّاسَ يَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّهُ لَيْسَ لَنَا أُجُورٌ بِمَكَّةَ ، قَالَ : فَأَحْسَبُهُ ، قَالَ : " كَذَبُوا ، لَتَأْتِيَنَّكُمْ أُجُورُكُمْ وَلَوْ كُنْتُمْ فِي جُحْرِ ثَعْلَبٍ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jubair bin Mut'im (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I submitted in the court of the Messenger: O Messenger of Allah! Some people think that we do not receive any reward in Makkah Mukarramah? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: They are wrong, you will surely receive your reward and recompense even if you are in a fox's den.
