It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jubair bin Mut’im (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood in the mosque of Khaif in the plain of Mina and said: May Allah keep fresh the person who hears my words, preserves them well, and then conveys them to those who did not hear them directly, for many people carry knowledge of jurisprudence but are not jurists, and many carriers of jurisprudence convey it to someone who is more understanding than themselves. There are three things in which a Muslim’s heart cannot be treacherous: (1) sincerity in action, (2) goodwill for the rulers, (3) adhering to the community, for the prayer of the community surrounds him from behind.
