(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا حُجَيْنُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ صُرَدٍ ، عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ، قَالَ : تَذَاكَرْنَا غُسْلَ الْجَنَابَةِ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَمَّا أَنَا فَآخُذُ مِلْءَ كَفَّي ثَلَاثًا ، فَأَصُبُّ عَلَى رَأْسِي ، ثُمَّ أُفِيضُه بَعْدُ عَلَى سَائِرِ جَسَدِي " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jubair bin Mut’im (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were discussing the ritual bath (ghusl) in the presence of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I take water in both my hands, pour it over my head, and then pour the remaining water over the rest of my body.
