(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مِسْعَرٌ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ عَنَزَةَ ، عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقُولُ : " اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ كَبِيرًا ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ كَثِيرًا ، وَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلًا ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ مِنْ هَمْزِهِ ، وَنَفْخِهِ ونفثه " ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : مَا هَمْزُهُ ؟ ، قَالَ : فَذَكَرَ كَهَيْئَةِ الْمُوتَةِ ، يَعْنِي يَصْرَعُ ، قُلْتُ : فَمَا نَفْخُهُ ؟ ، قَالَ : " الْكِبْرُ " ، قُلْتُ : فَمَا نَفْثُهُ ؟ ، قَال : " الشِّعْرُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jubair bin Mut’im that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in the voluntary prayers recite three times: Allahu Akbar Kabira, three times: Walhamdulillahi Kathira, and three times: Subhanallahi Bukratan wa Aseela, and he would recite this supplication: O Allah! I seek refuge in You from the evil suggestions, spitting, and blowing of the accursed Satan. I asked: O Messenger of Allah! What is meant by the evil suggestions, spitting, and blowing? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The evil suggestions refer to the death that seizes the son of Adam, the blowing refers to arrogance, and the spitting refers to poetry.
