(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي قَاصُّ أَهْلِ فِلَسْطِينَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ ، يَقُولُ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ : " ثَلَاثٌ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ ، إِنْ كُنْتُ لَحَالِفًا عَلَيْهِنَّ لَا يَنْقُصُ مَالٌ مِنْ صَدَقَةٍ ، فَتَصَدَّقُوا ، وَلَا يَعْفُو عَبْدٌ عَنْ مَظْلَمَةٍ يَبْتَغِي بِهَا وَجْهَ اللَّهِ إِلَّا رَفَعَهُ اللَّهُ بِهَا عِزَّاً " , وقَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ : إِلَّا زَادَهُ اللَّهُ بِهَا عِزًّا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَلَا يَفْتَحُ عَبْدٌ بَابَ مَسْأَلَةٍ إِلَّا فَتَحَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ بَابَ فَقْرٍ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "By Him in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)! There are three things upon which I can swear: First, wealth does not decrease by giving charity, so give charity; second, whoever forgives an oppressor for the sake of Allah, Allah will increase his honor; and third, whoever opens the door of begging, Allah will open the door of poverty for him."
