(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ مُرَّةَ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ ، عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ فِي التَّطَوُّعِ : " اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ كَبِيرًا ثَلَاثَ مِرَارٍ ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ كَثِيرًا ثَلَاثَ مِرَارٍ ، وَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلًا ثَلَاثَ مِرَارٍ ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ ، مِنْ هَمْزِهِ وَنَفْثِهِ وَنَفْخِهِ " ، قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، مَا هَمْزُهُ وَنَفْثُهُ وَنَفْخُهُ ؟ ، قَالَ : " أَمَّا هَمْزُهُ فَالْمُوتَةُ الَّتِي تَأْخُذُ ابْنَ آدَمَ ، وَأَمَّا نَفْخُهُ الْكِبْرُ ، وَنَفْثُهُ الشِّعْرُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jubair bin Mut’im that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in the voluntary prayers recite three times: Allahu Akbar Kabira, three times: Walhamdulillahi Kathira, and three times: Subhanallahi Bukratan wa Aseela, and he would recite this supplication: O Allah! I seek refuge in You from the evil suggestions, spitting, and blowing of the accursed Satan. I asked: O Messenger of Allah! What is meant by the evil suggestions, spitting, and blowing? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The evil suggestions refer to the death that seizes the son of Adam, the blowing refers to arrogance, and the spitting refers to poetry.
