حَدِيثُ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُHadith of Jubayr ibn Mut'im (may Allah be pleased with him)

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَوْ كَانَ الْمُطْعِمُ بْنُ عَدِيٍّ حَيًّا فَكَلَّمَنِي فِي هَؤُلَاءِ النَّتْنَى أَطْلَقْتُهُمْ " يَعْنِي أُسَارَى بَدْرٍ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jubair bin Mut'im that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If Mut'im bin Adi were alive and spoke to me regarding these captives (the prisoners of Badr), I would have set them all free.
