(حديث مرفوع) قال عَبْد اللَّهِ بن أحمد : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْفَضْلِ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ ، قَالَ : وَحَدَّثَنِي حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ ضُمَيْرَةَ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ يَحْيَى الْمَازِنِيِّ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَبِي حَسَنٍ أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَكْرَهُ نِكَاحَ السِّرِّ حَتَّى يُضْرَبَ بِدُفٍّ ، وَيُقَالَ : أَتَيْنَاكُمْ أَتَيْنَاكُمْ فَحَيُّونَا نُحَيِّيكُمْ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hasan that the Prophet (peace be upon him) disliked secret marriages, to the extent that the duff should be played and it should be announced: "We have come to you, we have come to you, you congratulate us, we congratulate you."
