(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ , أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ ، قَال : " أَقْطَعَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَعُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ أَرْضَ كَذَا وَكَذَا " ، فَذَهَبَ الزُّبَيْرُ إِلَى آلِ عُمَرَ ، فَاشْتَرَى نَصِيبَهُ مِنْهُمْ ، فَأَتَى عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ ، فَقَالَ : إِنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ زَعَمَ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَقْطَعَهُ ، وَعُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ أَرْضَ كَذَا وَكَذَا ، وَإِنِّي اشْتَرَيْتُ نَصِيبَ آلِ عُمَرَ ، فَقَالَ عُثْمَانُ : عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ جَائِزُ الشَّهَادَةِ لَهُ وَعَلَيْهِ .
Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) granted me and Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) such and such a piece of land. Sayyiduna Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) went to the family of Umar and bought their share from them, and then went to Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) and said: Abdur Rahman believes that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) granted him and Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) such and such a piece of land, and I have bought the share of the family of Umar. Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The testimony of Abdur Rahman is reliable.
