قَالَ
سُفْيَانُ : فَحَدَّثَنَا
عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ ، بِحَدِيثِ الصَّعْبِ هَذَا ، عَنِ
الزُّهْرِيِّ قَبْلَ أَنْ نَلْقَاهُ ، فَقَالَ فِيهِ : " هُمْ مِنْ آبَائِهِمْ " فَلَمَّا قَدِمَ عَلَيْنَا الزُّهْرِيُّ تَفَقَّدْتُهُ فَلَمْ يَقُلْ ، وَقَالَ : هُمْ خَيْرٌ مِنْهُمْ .
Sufyan said: Amr ibn Dinar narrated to us this hadith of As-Sa'b, from Az-Zuhri, before we met him, and he said in it: "They are from their fathers." But when Az-Zuhri came to us, I checked with him, and he did not say that; rather, he said: "They are better than them."
