(حديث مرفوع) قال عَبْد اللَّهِ بن أحمد : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو حُمَيْدٍ الْحِمْصِيُّ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ ابْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ سَيَّارٍ قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ ، عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ رَاشِدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، قَالَ : لَمَّا فُتِحَتْ إِصْطَخْرُ نَادَى مُنَادٍ أَلَا إِنَّ الدَّجَّالَ قَدْ خَرَجَ ، قَالَ : فَلَقِيَهُمْ الصَّعْبُ بْنُ جَثَّامَةَ ، قَالَ : فَقَالَ : لَوْلَا مَا تَقُولُونَ ، لَأَخْبَرْتُكُمْ أَنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " لَا يَخْرُجُ الدَّجَّالُ حَتَّى يَذْهَلَ النَّاسُ عَنْ ذِكْرِهِ ، وَحَتَّى تَتْرُكَ الْأَئِمَّةُ ذِكْرَهُ عَلَى الْمَنَابِرِ " .
Rashid bin Sa’d says that when Istakhr was conquered, a caller announced, “O people! Beware, the Dajjal has appeared.” During this, they met Sayyiduna Sa’b bin Jaththamah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said, “If you do not say this, I will tell you that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: The emergence of the Dajjal will not occur until people forget his mention and the imams stop mentioning him on the pulpits.”
