قَالَ عبد الله بن أحمد : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ ، عَنْ ذِي الْجَوْشَنِ ، قَالَ : أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعْدَ أَنْ فَرَغَ مِنْ بَدْرٍ بِابْنِ فَرَسٍ لِي يُقَالُ لَهَا : الْقَرْحَاءُ ، فَقُلْتُ : يَا مُحَمَّدُ ، وَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ .
Abdullah ibn Ahmad said: Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to me, he said: Isa ibn Yunus narrated to us, from his father, from his grandfather, from Dhi al-Jawshan, who said: I came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, after he had finished (the battle of) Badr, with a son of my horse called al-Qarha’, and I said: O Muhammad, and he mentioned the hadith.
