(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي شَيْخٌ مِنْ بَنِي مَالِكِ بْنِ كِنَانَةَ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِسُوقِ ذِي الْمَجَازِ يَتَخَلَّلُهَا يَقُولُ : " يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ ، قُولُوا : لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ تُفْلِحُوا " ، قَالَ : وَأَبُو جَهْلٍ يَحْثِي عَلَيْهِ التُّرَابَ ، وَيَقُولُ : " يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ ، لَا يَغُرَّنَّكُمْ هَذَا عَنْ دِينِكُمْ ، فَإِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ لِتَتْرُكُوا آلِهَتَكُمْ ، وَتَتْرُكُوا اللَّاتَ وَالْعُزَّى ، قَالَ : وَمَا يَلْتَفِتُ إِلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : قُلْنَا : انْعَتْ لَنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم ، قَالَ : بَيْنَ بُرْدَيْنِ أَحْمَرَيْنِ ، مَرْبُوعٌ كَثِيرُ اللَّحْمِ ، حَسَنُ الْوَجْهِ ، شَدِيدُ سَوَادِ الشَّعْرِ ، أَبْيَضُ شَدِيدُ الْبَيَاضِ ، سَابِغُ الشَّعْرِ " .
It is narrated from a sheikh of Banu Malik bin Kinanah that I saw the Prophet (peace be upon him) walking around in the market called Dhu al-Majaz. The Prophet (peace be upon him) was saying: "O people! Acknowledge that there is no god but Allah, you will be successful." And Abu Jahl, while throwing dust, kept saying: "O people! Do not let him mislead you from your religion. He wants you to abandon your gods and Al-Lat and Al-Uzza." But the Prophet (peace be upon him) did not pay attention to him. We asked him to describe the appearance of the Prophet (peace be upon him) before us. He said: "The Prophet (peace be upon him) was wearing two red sheets, had medium height, a body full of flesh, a very handsome and beautiful face, extremely black hair, a very bright white complexion, and thick hair."
