It is narrated from a Companion (may Allah be pleased with him) that I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) at the place of ‘Arj pouring water over his head due to thirst or heat, and at that time the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was fasting. And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) continued to fast, then when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) reached the place of Kudayd, he asked for a bowl of water and drank it, and the people also broke their fast. This was the year of the conquest of Makkah.
