(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ كَعْبٍ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ ، قَالَ : كُنْتُ أَنَامُ فِي حُجْرَةِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَكُنْتُ أَسْمَعُهُ إِذَا قَامَ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ يُصَلِّي يَقُولُ : " الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ الْهَوِيَّ " ، قَالَ : ثُمَّ يَقُولُ : " سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ الْعَظِيمِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ الْهَوِيَّ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Rabi’ah bin Ka’b (may Allah be pleased with him) that I used to sleep in the blessed chamber of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). I used to hear that whenever the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) woke up for prayer, he would say “Alhamdulillahi Rabbil ‘Alamin” for a long time, then he would say “Subhanallahi Al-‘Azim wa bihamdihi” for a long time.
