It is narrated from Sayyiduna Khafaf bin Ima’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) led us in the Fajr prayer. When he raised his head from the bowing (ruku’) in the second rak’ah, he recited the Qunoot Nazilah and supplicated: “May Allah’s curse be upon the tribe of Lihyan, Ra’l, and Dhakwaan, and the tribe of ‘Usayyah has disobeyed Allah and His Messenger. May Allah keep the tribe of Aslam safe, and may Allah forgive the tribe of Ghifar.” Then he said the takbeer and went into prostration.
