(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي سَلَمَةُ بْنُ الْأَكْوَعِ ، قَالَ : خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى قَوْمٍ مِنْ أَسْلَمَ وَهُمْ يَتَنَاضَلُونَ فِي السُّوقِ ، فَقَالَ : " ارْمُوا يَا بَنِي إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، فَإِنَّ أَبَاكُمْ كَانَ رَامِيًا ، ارْمُوا وَأَنَا مَعَ بَنِي فُلَانٍ " لِأَحَدِ الْفَرِيقَيْنِ فَأَمْسَكُوا أَيْدِيَهُمْ ، فَقَالَ : " ارْمُوا " ، قَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، كَيْفَ نَرْمِي وَأَنْتَ مَعَ بَنِي فُلَانٍ ؟ ، قَالَ : " ارْمُوا وَأَنَا مَعَكُمْ كُلِّكُمْ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Salamah bin Akwa’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by a group from the tribe of Aslam who were practicing archery in the market. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Banu Isma’il! Keep practicing archery, for your forefather (Sayyiduna Isma’il, peace be upon him) was an archer. Practice archery, and I will join such-and-such group." Upon this, the other party withdrew their hands. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Shoot your arrows." They said, "O Messenger of Allah! How can we shoot when you are with them?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Shoot your arrows, for I am with all of you."
