It is narrated from Sayyiduna Saeed bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever is killed while protecting his wealth is a martyr, and whoever seizes even a handspan of land unjustly, on the Day of Resurrection that portion of land will be made into a collar from the seven earths and placed around his neck."
