(حديث مرفوع) أَنْبَأَنَا
عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا
سَعِيدٌ ، عَنْ
قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ
مُطَرِّفِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ
أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " وَيَقُولُ ابْنُ آدَمَ مَالِي مَالِي ، وَهَلْ لَكَ مِنْ مَالِكَ إِلَّا مَا أَكَلْتَ فَأَفْنَيْتَ ، أَوْ لَبِسْتَ فَأَبْلَيْتَ ، أَوْ تَصَدَّقْتَ فَأَمْضَيْتَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: The son of Adam says, "My wealth, my wealth," while your wealth is only that which you have sent forward as charity, or worn out by wearing, or consumed and finished by eating.
