(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ بِنْتِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أُمِّ الرَّائِحِ ابْنَةِ صُلَيْعٍ ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " الصَّدَقَةُ عَلَى الْمِسْكِينِ صَدَقَةٌ ، وَإِنَّهَا عَلَى ذِي الرَّحِمِ اثْنَتَانِ إِنَّهَا صَدَقَةٌ وَصِلَةٌ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Salman that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Spending on a poor person is a single charity, and giving charity to close relatives has a double reward—one for charity and the other for maintaining family ties.
