(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَبِيبٌ الْمُعَلِّمُ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " صَلَاةٌ فِي مَسْجِدِي هَذَا أَفْضَلُ مِنْ أَلْفِ صَلَاةٍ فِيمَا سِوَاهُ مِنَ الْمَسَاجِدِ إِلَّا الْمَسْجِدَ الْحَرَامَ ، وَصَلَاةٌ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ أَفْضَلُ مِنْ مِائَةِ صَلَاةٍ فِي هَذَا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zubair that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Except for Masjid al-Haram, offering one prayer in this mosque of mine is a thousand times superior to prayers in all other mosques, and one prayer in Masjid al-Haram is one hundred thousand times better than that.
