(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عَامِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " إِذَا جَلَسَ فِي التَّشَهُّدِ وَضَعَ يَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى عَلَى فَخِذِهِ الْيُمْنَى ، وَيَدَهُ الْيُسْرَى عَلَى فَخِذِهِ الْيُسْرَى ، وَأَشَارَ بِالسَّبَّابَةِ ، وَلَمْ يُجَاوِزْ بَصَرُهُ إِشَارَتَهُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Zubair that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sat in Tashahhud, he would place his right hand on his right thigh and his left hand on his left thigh, point with his index finger, and would not let his gaze go beyond that gesture.
