(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْقُدُّوسِ بْنُ بَكْرِ بْنِ خُنَيْسٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " افْتَتَحَ الصَّلَاةَ ، فَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى جَاوَزَ بِهِمَا أُذُنَيْهِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Zubair that I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) raising his hands at the beginning of the prayer until he extended his hands beyond his ears. It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Zubair that I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) supplicating in this manner, and as he said this, he gestured with his hands.
