حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْأَحْوَصِ الْأَزْدِيِّ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْهُ يَقُولُ عِنْدَ جَمْرَةِ الْعَقَبَةِ : يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ! لَا تَقْتُلُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ، وَارْمُوا الْجَمْرَةَ - أَوِ الْجَمَرَاتِ - بِمِثْلِ حَصَى الْخَذْفِ»
Rawh narrated to us, he said: Shu'bah narrated to us from Yazid ibn Abi Ziyad, from Sulayman ibn Amr ibn al-Ahwas al-Azdi, from his mother, from the Prophet ﷺ that she heard him say at Jamrat al-Aqabah: "O people! Do not kill yourselves, and throw the pebbles at the Jamrah—or the Jamarat—with pebbles like the size of date stones."
