حَدِيثُ مُجَمِّعِ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ عَنْ غُلَامٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ قُبَاءٍ أَدْرَكَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَHadith of Mujamma' ibn Ya'qub from a boy from the people of Quba' who met the Prophet (peace be upon him)

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْعَطَّافُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي مُجَمِّعُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ، عَنْ غُلَامٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ قُباءٍ ، أَنَّهُ أَدْرَكَهُ شَيْخًا ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " جَاءَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِقُبَاءٍ ، فَجَلَسَ فِي فَيْءِ الْأُجُم ، وَاجْتَمَعَ إِلَيْهِ نَاسٌ ، فَاسْتَسْقَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَسُقِيَ ، فَشَرِبَ ، وَأَنَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ ، وَأَنَا أَحْدَثُ الْقَوْمِ فَنَاوَلَنِي ، فَشَرِبْتُ ، وَحَفِظْتُ أَنَّهُ صَلَّى بِنَا يَوْمَئِذٍ الصَّلَاةَ وَعَلَيْهِ نَعْلَاهُ لَمْ يَنْزِعْهُمَا " .
A companion who was a slave from the people of Quba says that once the Prophet (peace be upon him) came to us in Quba and sat in the courtyard without any pebbles. People also began to gather. The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked for water and drank it. I was the youngest at that time and on his right side, so the Prophet (peace be upon him) gave me his leftover water, which I drank. I also remember that the prayer the Prophet (peace be upon him) led us in that day, he was wearing his shoes and did not take them off.
