(حديث موقوف) حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا هَيْثَمُ بْنُ خَارِجَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ بْنِ حَلْبَسٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبِي , سَمِعَ خُرَيْمَ بْنَ فَاتِكٍ الْأَسَدِيَّ , يَقُولُ : " أَهْلُ الشَّامِ سَوْطُ اللَّهِ فِي الْأَرْضِ يَنْتَقِمُ بِهِمْ مِمَّنْ يَشَاءُ كَيْفَ يَشَاءُ وَحَرَامٌ عَلَى مُنَافِقِيهِمْ أَنْ يَظْهَرُوا عَلَى مُؤْمِنِيهِمْ وَلَنْ يَمُوتُوا إِلَّا هَمًّا , أَوْ غَيْظًا , أَوْ حُزْنًا " .
Sayyiduna Khuraym bin Fatik says that the people of Sham are Allah’s whip on the earth; through them, Allah takes revenge on whomever He wills. And it has been made forbidden for their hypocrites to prevail over their believers. Whenever they die, they will die in a state of grief, anger, and distress.
