It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Usaid Sa‘idi that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The best household among the Ansar is that of Banu Najjar, then Banu ‘Abd al-Ashhal, then Banu Harith bin Khazraj, then Banu Sa‘idah. In fact, there is goodness and blessing in every house of the Ansar. Upon this, Sayyiduna Sa‘d bin ‘Ubadah said: I think that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) has given them superiority over us. He was told: You people have been given superiority over many others.
