(حديث مرفوع) أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ ذَكْوَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي أُسَيْدٍ السَّاعِدِيِّ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " خَيْرُ دُورِ الْأَنْصَارِ بَنُو النَّجَّارِ ، ثُمَّ بَنُو عَبْدِ الْأَشْهَلِ ، ثُمَّ بَنُو الْحَارِثِ بْنِ الْخَزْرَجِ ، ثُمَّ بَنُو سَاعِدَةَ " ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " وَفِي كُلِّ دُورِ الْأَنْصَارِ خَيْرٌ " . فَقَالَ سَعْدُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ : جَعَلَنَا رَابِعَ أَرْبَعَةٍ ، أَسْرِجُوا لِي حِمَارِي , فَقَالَ ابْنُ أَخِيهِ : أَتُرِيدُ أَنْ تَرُدَّ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، حَسْبُكَ أَنْ تَكُونَ رَابِعَ أَرْبَعَةٍ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Usaid Sa‘idi that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The best household among the Ansar is that of Banu Najjar, then Banu ‘Abd al-Ashhal, then Banu Harith bin Khazraj, then Banu Sa‘idah, and indeed, there is goodness and blessing in every house of the Ansar. Upon this, Sayyiduna Sa‘d bin ‘Ubadah said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) has placed us fourth among the four; saddle my donkey for me. Then his nephew said: Do you want to reject the words of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)? It is enough for you that you are the fourth among the four.
