Musnad Ahmad

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sahl that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) set out towards Makkah Mukarramah with his companions. When they reached Sha'b Kharrar in Juhfah, Sayyiduna Sahl bin Hunaif went out with the intention of bathing. He was the owner of a very handsome and beautiful body. During the bath, 'Amir bin Rabi'ah's gaze fell upon his body and he said, "I have never seen such beautiful skin till today." No sooner had he said this than Sayyiduna Sahl fell down. A man came to the court of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah! Do something for Sahl, by Allah, he cannot even lift his head nor is he conscious." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Whom do you blame for this?" The people informed that 'Amir bin Rabi'ah had looked at him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called 'Amir and rebuked him severely and said, "Why does one of you kill his brother? When he sees something astonishing, why does he not pray for blessing for him?" Then he instructed him to wash his limbs: he washed his face, hands, elbows, knees, parts of his feet, and from inside his lower garment in a bowl. Then he ordered that this water be poured over Sahl, such that a man pours the water over his head and pours it on his back from behind, and then pours the whole bowl over him. When this was done accordingly, Sayyiduna Sahl began to walk with the people as if he had never had any ailment at all.
